Authava Email Provider

The Authava Email Provider is a fully managed email delivery service designed specifically for authentication emails. It ensures high deliverability rates for critical emails like verification codes, password resets, and welcome messages.

How It Works

When you choose the Authava Email Provider during domain setup, we:

  1. Generate DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) keys for your domain
  2. Create DNS records for proper email authentication
  3. Configure SPF (Sender Policy Framework) to prevent email spoofing
  4. Set up a dedicated email delivery infrastructure for your domain

All emails are sent from your domain (e.g., [email protected]), maintaining your brand identity while benefiting from our optimized delivery infrastructure.

Required DNS Records

To use the Authava Email Provider, you need to add the following DNS records to your domain:

The exact values for these records will be provided during your domain setup process. The DKIM key is unique to your domain.

Setting Up Authava Email Provider

  1. During the domain onboarding process, select Use Authava Email when prompted for email configuration.

  2. Authava will generate the necessary DNS records for your domain.

  3. Add these DNS records to your domain's DNS settings through your domain registrar or DNS provider.

  4. Click Verify DNS Records to confirm the setup.

  5. Once verified, your domain is ready to send authentication emails through Authava.

Email Customization

With the Authava Email Provider, you can customize various aspects of your authentication emails:

  • From Name: The sender name that appears in email clients (e.g., "YourCompany Authentication")
  • Email Templates: Customize the content and design of authentication emails
  • Brand Colors: Apply your brand colors to email templates
  • Logo: Add your company logo to authentication emails

To customize these settings, go to Dashboard > Email Settings > Templates.

Email Delivery Monitoring

You can monitor the delivery status of emails sent through the Authava Email Provider:

  1. Go to Dashboard > Email Settings > Delivery Status
  2. View statistics on:
    • Delivery rate
    • Open rate
    • Bounce rate
    • Spam complaints

This information helps you ensure that your authentication emails are being delivered successfully.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with the Authava Email Provider:

DNS Verification Failed

  • Ensure all DNS records are correctly added to your domain
  • Check for typos in the record values
  • Allow sufficient time for DNS propagation (up to 48 hours)
  • Verify you're adding records to the correct domain

Emails Not Being Delivered

  • Check the email delivery status in the dashboard
  • Verify that your domain's DNS records are still correctly configured
  • Ensure your account is in good standing
  • Check if you've reached your email sending limits

Changing Email Provider

If you need to switch from Authava Email Provider to a custom SMTP server:

  1. Go to Dashboard > Email Settings > Configuration
  2. Click Change Provider
  3. Select Use Custom SMTP
  4. Enter your SMTP server details
  5. Verify and save the new configuration

Limits and Quotas

Email sending limits depend on your subscription plan:

  • Free Tier: 1,000 emails per month
  • Pro Tier: 10,000 emails per month
  • Business Tier: 50,000 emails per month
